RESEARCH

Small room, big community

Our broader purpose, or the topic of our research project, is the community of young people (18-30 years) and its purpose in our society. We want to focus on groups of young people who would benefit more from a self-sustaining community in a social and, consequently, ecological sense. The task is made easier by the fact that we ourselves are part of the target group and face the chosen issue personally. We thought about how we can make our own lives better and how to address these possibilities of different changes to our peers. We have found that we cannot rely on external factors to provide us with a community, but must act on our own. We want to encourage people who have the knowledge and power to use these two and demand, create and sustain change.

Each approach has a different degree of strength and obviousness, which means that we can choose the appropriate approach for different situations. It is the designer's moral duty to use behavior design for positive change.
