RESEARCH / POSTERS / INFOGRAPHICS
The Triumph of Human Stupidity
With the project, we wanted to draw attention to the war on drugs that is happening not only in Mexico but all over the world and the consequences that this war brings to people and nature worldwide.
Based on deep research, we made three infographics that focus on drug production, human victims and environmental damage. The color scheme of the Mexican flag is used to instantly associate with Mexico. To make the presented data more understandable and relatable to the targeted audience (Slovenians that pass by the street poster gallery), we crossreferenced the data of the situation in Mexico with data of Slovenian agriculture, landscape area and European deaths.
Posters and infographics were exhibited in TAM-TAM poster gallery, Ljubljana, and as a VR Exhibition at vrallart.com, 2023.

As a personal response to the realization of the situation, we made emotional posters that communicate a Mexican symbol (skull) made out of drugs, word and visual play between war, drugs and death, and also a Slovenian simbol (the highest mountain Triglav) made out of cocain, with two texts: the one in the background says Oj Triglav, moj dom (Oh, Triglav, my home) from a slovenian national song, the one at the botton communicates that official analysis shows that also cocain is a widespread drug among Slovenians.
